Syllabus and Timetables
General Guidelines
- Coursework classes that are common for all branches of Ph.D. are held in Classroom 108, Rajgad Block as per given timetable.
- All Ph.D. students are required to make attendance in the Attendance Register and also by tapping RFID-enabled Student ID cards on the RFID attendance reader at the entrance
Dean of Research and Development

Dr. Aurab Chakrabarty
M.Sc, Ph.D
Dr. Aurab Chakrabarty has obtained M.Sc. (Physics) from IIT Guwahati with Institute Silver Medal. He obtained his Ph.D. from Trinity College Dublin in Computational Material Science and joined the Max-Planck Institute for Iron Research in Düsseldorf, Germany as a Research Assistant. He has also worked in Texas A&M University at Qatar and S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences at Kolkata as Research Associates and has 10 years of research experience in the area of computational study of structural metal alloys and has published 15 papers in international journals. He is currently involved in research on structural and electronic properties of intermetallic compounds and has an active collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Chakrabarty had previously taught in the historic Victoria College in Kolkata and Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur.
